The last paragraph of Chapter 12. That is where the slow (and I do mean slow) build up finally leads way to the drama. Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.
No but seriously, between chapters 1 to 13 we are tasked with combing through a mountain of information, spread thinly across SO MANY PAGES. But when the chisme starts, IT STARTS. From chapter 13 to 20, there is nothing but drama, making the reading that much easier to finish.
And what can I say? I have never seen such entitled, selfish, careless, ignorant, arrogant, stupid people in my entire life. I, personally, wanted to stab everyone in the Richardson family, and adopt Izzy. She is the only person in that family with a degree in common sense.
And then there is Mia, who allowed her passion in life, to determine where her and Pearl live. In my personal opinion, once you decide to have a child, such selfish desires have to be thrown away. Pearl suffered because she was denied normalcy for her entire life.
